Personally, when I'm watching K-dramas, OSTs can make or break a scene. A slow, heartfelt song will leave me on the brink of tears, while upbeat ones make me dance along with the characters.

But, those OSTs sung by K-pop idols? It's honestly the best of both worlds.

So, here are 22 original soundtracks you'll love if you're a K-pop fan:

1. "Christmas Tree" by BTS's V

Sony Music Publishing / Via youtube.com

K-drama: Our Beloved Summer

This song is the equivalent of a warm hug on a cold winter night. Most of it is in English, while some parts are in Korean, which makes it all the more special for both English-speaking and Korean fans. "When the rain stops, you shine on me. / Your light's the only thing that keeps the cold out," V sings. Honestly, how can you not love the song? It also fits in flawlessly with Our Beloved Summer, as the drama deals with themes of reconciled friendships and love.

Stream it on Spotify or Apple Music.

2. "Stardust Love Song" by Twice's Jihyo

K-drama: Twenty Five, Twenty One

What's better than Jihyo's vocals? Jihyo's vocals in a K-drama track. This slow, yet powerful song is a glimpse into her soulful vocal range. Twenty Five, Twenty One is set in the 1990s as two youths run toward their dreams amidst a financial crisis and find their first love along the way. "You said it will be okay. / I'm good enough just the way I am," Jihyo sings. Is this not a perfect representation of what a first love feels like? Truly a K-drama OST match made in heaven.

3. "Once Again" by Aespa's Winter and NingNing

K-drama: Our Blues

You can count on Aespa to release sci-fi tracks one day and light, cheerful ones the next. Since its release, "Once Again" has seriously been one of my most played songs, and it's safe to say that it definitely fits the whole vibe of Our Blues as well. "The sun is shining. / We will protect each other," the duo sings. With those uplifting lyrics and crystal-clear vocals, it's a great song to add to your study playlist or listen to on your hot girl walk.

4. "Good Person" by NCT Dream's Haechan

K-drama: Seo Yeon University Class of '22

"Good Person" was originally sung by Toy, and it essentially tells the story of a one-sided love. NCT Dream's Haechan remade it for the drama, and for his first K-drama OST, it could not be more fit for him. It's been a staple in my song rotation in the past couple of months — with the catchy tune and Haechan's bright vocals, you're in for the happiest song about the heartbreaking realities of a first love.

Stream it on Spotify or Apple Music.

5. "With" by WJSN's Bona, Kim Tae Ri, Nam Joo Hyuk, and Choi Hyun Wook

K-drama: Twenty Five, Twenty One

Technically, this song isn't just by the K-pop idol. It also features actors, but it's such a good song I just had to include it on this list. The song has a piano-focused instrumental with hopeful lyrics. It's absolutely no doubt that Bona is amazing — her sweet singing style encapsulates the uplifting lyrics perfectly. The other actors deserve some recognition, too! Their various vocal ranges and unique tones all blend together to create the most flawless harmony.

6. "Introduce Me to a Good Person" by Red Velvet's Joy

K-drama: Hospital Playlist

With an upbeat melody and Joy's amazing vocals, this song has also been in my song rotation for quite some time. This song is a remake of a track that was originally released by Basis in 1996, but Joy had no problem delivering. You can count on Joy to deliver such a *joy*ful and bright song with ease. Fun fact, this song got so popular it was #5 on the Billboard K-pop 100.

Stream it on Spotify or Apple Music.

7. "With You" by BTS's Jimin and Ha Sung Woon

K-drama: Our Blues

Fans of Jimin, he has finally released his first K-drama OST. It's all the more special because it's in collaboration with Ha Sung Woon, former Wanna One member and seasoned veteran of OSTs. The song is a slow, yet passionate one, with both singers belting out high notes with ease. The best parts of the song? When both singers harmonize, creating a wonderful melody.

Stream it on Spotify or Apple Music.

8. "Stay with Me" by EXO's Chanyeol and Punch

View this video on YouTube

CJ E&M / Via youtube.com

K-drama: Goblin

You can never go wrong with Chanyeol and Punch for a K-drama OST. Punch is widely known as the queen of K-drama OSTs — she has over 20 songs in her soundtrack discography dating back all the way to 2014. Chanyeol's rap packs a powerful punch, while Punch's soulful voice delivers a sentimental tone. It's no wonder producers of Goblin chose this OST; the song perfectly encapsulates the feelings of longing and love.

9. "By My Side" by Taeyeon

View this video on YouTube

YamYam Entertainment / Via youtube.com

K-drama: Our Blues

"I will wait for you even after a long time. / Stay in our world..." Taeyeon sings. They're such heartbreaking lyrics, but why does Taeyeon make them sound so hopeful? Taeyeon's unbeatable vocals are back for an OST for Our Blues. With the calm guitar instrumental, it's the perfect song to relax to at the beach this summer.

Stream it on Spotify or Apple Music.

10. "Star" by STAYC

YamYam Entertainment / Via youtube.com

K-drama: Our Blues

Our Blues racked up some amazing soundtracks, and it's no surprise that STAYC was added to this lineup. This song is STAYC's first OST, but their vocals fit in magnificently with the song and overall vibe of the K-drama. With this cheerful instrumental and bright vocals, you're bound to have the catchy melody stuck in your head.

Stream it on Spotify or Apple Music.

11. "Confession Is Not Flashy" by Super Junior's Kyuhyun

K-drama: Hospital Playlist

Fans of Hospital Playlist will definitely know this catchy tune. It was the track to the ending credits of each episode. The song is bound to put a smile on your face with its sweet lyrics and upbeat tempo. "Until your tears dry, I’ll protect you. / Of all those people, I only love you," Kyuhyun sings. Who's chopping the onions?

Stream it on Spotify or Apple Music.

12. "Mind Warning" by Shinee's Onew

NHN BUGS Corporation / Via youtube.com

K-drama: Forecasting Love & Weather

Onew is one of the more underrated K-drama OST singers on this list. So far, he's released five soundtracks for various dramas, and although every one of them has never failed to impress, "Mind Warning" is by far my favorite. It really accentuates his unique and light voice, while still wowing listeners with a well-rounded vocal range. Seriously, I could listen to this track all day and still not get tired of it.

Stream it on Spotify or Apple Music.

13. "Like a Star" by NCT's Doyoung

Sony Music Publishing / Via youtube.com

K-drama: Yumi's Cells

"Like a Star" is the song if you're seeking comfort in your everyday life. "Please smile brightly when you look at me," Doyoung sings. "Like the stars that light up the dark night. / Always shine brightly by my side." Yumi's Cells explores the true emotions behind a relationship, from heart flutters to heartbreaks; this song is a perfect summary of the beautiful feelings that linger.

14. "Is It Me?" by EXO's Baekhyun

Kakao Entertainment / Via youtube.com

K-drama: Lovers of the Red Sky

This powerful song is proof that Baekhyun is able to sing in any genre. A totally different vibe from the rest of his singles, he belts out a high vocal range singing lyrics that are quite literally heartbreaking. "Even if you deny it, even if you say you hate me. / I’ll be by your side like fate," Baekhyun sings soulfully. Seriously, this song will make it in your top 10 OSTs in no time.

15. "Give You My Heart" by IU

K-drama: Crash Landing on You

The queen of K-pop is back with this stellar OST for none other than the worldwide sensation, Crash Landing on You. "I pray that it won’t remain as mere memories with you," IU sings. From the exceptional lyrics to IU's remarkable vocals, it's hard not to fall in love with this song.

16. "For You" by EXO's Chanyeol, Baekhyun, and Xiumin

K-drama: Scarlet Heart Ryeo

Yes, this song is definitely for you. EXO-CBX's (Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin) OST is the perfect song if you want no games, just purely breathtaking vocals. The trio delivers the powerful lyrics in such a heartfelt style. You can listen to the live version that they did at Inkigayo a few years back here. It has over 17 million views, making it one of the most watched videos on the channel.

Stream it on Spotify or Apple Music.

17. "Future" by Red Velvet

View this video on YouTube

VLENDING / Via youtube.com

K-drama: Start-Up

Red Velvet's cheery vocals excellently capture the hopeful mood of this song. There's a certain sweet quality to this OST that always lifts me up. Even the lyrics reflect this. "You are my future, future, all the time. / I want to go through the hard times and hold your hand," the members sing. With its upbeat melody, it's a beautiful song to listen to if you're having a hard day.

Stream it on Spotify or Apple Music.

18. "Orbit" by Mamamoo's Hwasa

View this video on YouTube

Hwa&Dam Pictures / Via youtube.com

K-drama: The King: Eternal Monarch

There's no one like Hwasa in the K-pop industry, and I can't imagine anyone else singing this song with this much depth. The song is reflective of one of the main character's journey in dealing with his personal demons, all while trying to run a country nonetheless. Hwasa's deep, unique voice packages these emotions in a way that's hard to describe in words.

Stream it on Spotify or Apple Music.

19. "Love, Maybe" by Kim Sejeong

View this video on YouTube

Kakao Entertainment / Via youtube.com

K-drama: Business Proposal

Singing an OST for a drama that you're starring in? Kim Sejeong is seriously iconic for this. Former I.O.I and Gugudan member Sejeong did not disappoint with this track as her bright vocals blended effortlessly with the cheery melody.

Stream it on Spotify or Apple Music.

20. "I'm in the Mood for Dancing" by Yuju

View this video on YouTube

Stone Music Entertainment / Via youtube.com

K-drama: True Beauty

"I'm in the mood for dancin'. Romancin'" Yuju sings. Now, this is a song meant for a party. Yuju's bright yet powerful voice coupled with the drum beats create an unforgettable melody. True Beauty has a very-much prevalent youthful mood in all the episodes, and producers couldn't have picked a better song to encompass those coming-of-age emotions.

Stream it on Spotify or Apple Music.

21. "Always Be Your Star" by ITZY's Lia

View this video on YouTube

King Record Co. / Via youtube.com

K-drama: The Red Sleeve

Why did no one tell me Lia's voice could be this emotion-charged? Lia made her OST debut with "Always Be Your Star," and it's everything you would want in a K-drama OST: soulful vocals, a heightened chorus, and only mildly heartbreaking lyrics. This song will definitely leave an impression on you well after you're done listening.

Stream it on Spotify or Apple Music.

22. "Someday" by (G)I-dle's Miyeon

View this video on YouTube

VLENDING / Via youtube.com

K-drama: Moonshine

"Someday" is everything classic of a K-drama OST, while at the same time, having its unique charms. Miyeon's high vocal range takes listeners on a wild ride as she sings about losing your lover. "I'm constantly wandering around, / lost forever, holding on to my aching heart. / Will you come back?" Cue the sobs.
