Some people, whether they're in a relationship or single, love to play matchmaker for their friends. Plenty of couples — including celeb ones — started dating because a mutual friend decided they'd be good together.

1. In 2013, Ed Sheeran brought Johnny McDaid, his "Bad Habits" and "Shape of You" cowriter, to Courteney Cox's house, and they were engaged a year later.

2. After Meghan Trainor recruited Chloë Grace Moretz to help her find a boyfriend, she introduced her to Daryl Sabara, whom she married in 2018.
