Here are 15 pairs of celebrities who got married and broke up less than a year later:
1. Jim Carrey and Lauren Holly: About 10 months

Carrey and Holly married in September 1996, two years after meeting on the set of Dumb & Dumber. Holly filed for divorce in July 1997, citing "irreconcilable differences."
2. Marilyn Monroe and Joe Dimaggio: About nine months

The two married in January of 1954 and divorced that October. Monroe cited "mental cruelty" in her divorce filing, but the pair seemed to reconcile and become friends in later years before her death in 1962.
3. Elisabeth Moss and Fred Armisen: About eight months

Moss and Armisen met on the set of Saturday Night Live in 2008, were married in October 2009, and divorced in September 2010 after Moss filed, citing "irreconcilable differences." (They'd reportedly separated that June.) Moss later described the relationship as "extremely traumatic and awful and horrible," while Armisen told Howard Stern, "I think I was a terrible husband, I think I’m a terrible boyfriend."
4. Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus: About eight months

After meeting in 2009 on the set of The Last Song, Cyrus and Hemsworth dated on and off (they were even engaged from 2012 to 2013 before breaking up that September) until tying the knot in December 2018. Their separation was confirmed in August 2019, and later that month Hemsworth filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences."
5. Renée Zellweger and Kenny Chesney: Less than eight months

After about five months of dating, Zellweger and Chesney married in May 2005, opting to have the marriage annulled that summer. Zellweger cited "fraud" as the motivating factor, leading people to believe Chesney might be gay — a claim he denied during an interview with Anderson Cooper.
6. Colton Haynes and Jeff Leatham: About six months

After marrying in late October 2017, Haynes filed for divorce in early May 2018, citing — like many on this list — "irreconcilable differences."
7. Tom Green and Drew Barrymore: Less than six months

Green and Barrymore began dating on the set of Charlie's Angels in 2000 and got married the following year in July. That December, Green filed for divorce, which was finalized in 2002. Barrymore later told Howard Stern she thought she and Green were "young and kind of idiots" when they married, though they've since reunited as friends.
8. Chad Michael Murray and Sophia Bush: Less than six months

One Tree Hill costars Murray and Bush dated for more than a year before tying the knot in mid-April 2005, staying married for less than six months before she petitioned for an annulment. The request was denied, and they ultimately divorced. Bush later told Andy Cohen that she never actually wanted to marry Murray in the first place but felt a responsibility to.
9. Jennifer Esposito and Bradley Cooper: About four months

Esposito and Cooper wed in late December 2006, ultimately ending when she filed for divorce four months later in May 2007. The divorce was finalized in November of that year.

After rumors they were dating surfaced in October 2010, Humphries and Kardashian married in August 2011. The wedding aired on E! about two months later, and then in November 2011, Humphries filed for an annulment, citing "fraud" as the reason. While he reportedly hoped to separate rather than divorce, the couple's divorce was ultimately finalized in June 2013.
13. Ali Landry and Mario Lopez: 18 days

Though Landry and Lopez dated for six years before tying the knot, their marriage was annulled after less than three weeks, reportedly due to Lopez's infidelity.
14. Carmen Electra and Dennis Rodman: Nine days
