The following celeb parents have made it a point to support their kids, exactly as they are!
The love and support these celebs display for their children oft brings tears of joy to my eyes.
1. Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union love Zaya unconditionally.

The parents of four have loudly supported their daughter Zaya coming out as trans. Union spoke to Buzzfeed, saying, “It’s important for us to live and love out loud,” she said. “We didn’t exactly understand why [supporting Zaya’s trans identity] was a thing because it’s like, we love all our kids out loud. But it is a thing, and a lot of people do need an example. [People] do need that [kind of] representation.”
2. Cynthia Nixon celebrates Seph.

Cynthia Nixon posted to Instagram in 2018 about her eldest kid's college graduation, writing, “I’m so proud of my son Samuel Joseph Mozes (called Seph) who graduated college this month. I salute him and everyone else marking today’s #TransDayofAction. #TDOA.” More recently, Nixon showed her support on Trans Day of Visibility in March, writing, "There’s no LGB without the T."
3. Dean McDermott shares his movies with his kids.

At a screening of My Fake Boyfriend, the father of two spoke about his kids, trans son 15-year-old Liam, and queer son 20-year-old Jack. McDermott talked about the importance of sharing this movie with his kids.
4. Drea Kelly is a proud mom.

Back in 2019, Jaah Kelly opened up to Paper Magazine about gender and sexuality. His mother, Drea Kelly, praised her trans son, telling VH1, “All I can say about Jay is he makes it so easy to be a proud mom. For parents, we need to realize [that our kids] have their own journey. Parents get it wrong when they don't support their children. They have to go out and fight every day and face this world. The first battle should not be at home. I think that a lot of children in the LGBT community don't succeed because the one thing they need the most is [a] foundation. I just tell Jay all the time, baby, you won the war. You're gonna have a lot of battles, but you won the war. Mama accepts and loves you for who you are. Your family does."
5. Jennifer Lopez supports Emme on stage.

While performing at the L.A. Dodgers Foundation Blue Diamond Gala, Lopez introduced her 14-year-old child Emme using gender-neutral pronouns and furthermore, affirming Emme's pronouns. They went on to sing a cover of Christina Perri’s "A Thousand Years."
6. Busy Philipps got Birdie's permission before speaking on their pronouns.

Busy Philipps' eldest kid, Birdie, uses they/them pronouns. Busy mentioned on her podcast, Busy Phillips Is Doing Her Best, that she got permission from Birdie before speaking about it publicly, telling listeners, “Bird was like, ‘I don’t give a fuck. You can talk about that I’m gay and out; you can talk about my pronouns. That would be cool with me. That’s great.’"
7. Jamie Lee Curtis posts in support of trans rights.

The legendary actor wrote in an Instagram post on her trans daughter's birthday, “Today is the birthday of my trans daughter. I am proud and grateful to be the parent of a trans child and am sending support to all of the trans families across the US who are being targeted in this moment by conservative legislatures.”
8. Annette Bening and Warren Beatty have always stood by their son.

Their son came out as trans when he was 14, and in 2019, Bening told AARP, “He’s managed something that’s very challenging with great style and great intelligence,” she said. “He’s an articulate, thoughtful person, and I’m very, very proud of him." Stephen Ira, 30, frequently uploads to social media, sharing his thoughts, poems, and snapshots with viewers.
9. Megan Fox provides a safe environment for her kids.

When her son, Noah, was spotted in a dress at the age of 5, Fox spoke out about supporting them as they are, saying, “When I became pregnant with Noah, I could feel, through my mother’s intuition I suppose, that he was not subscribing to gender stereotypes, so I decided to provide an environment for him early on that would allow him to discover how he wanted to express himself,” she said.
10. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt let their children be themselves.

In an interview with Oprah in 2008, Pitt said that one of his younger kids, Shiloh, prefers to be called John. While neither parent has commented further on how they identify, John has been wearing suits and other gender-nonconforming clothing for years. Speaking with Reuters Magazine, Jolie spoke about her child's clothing choices, saying, " “I think she (Shiloh) is fascinating, the choices she is making, and I would never be the kind of parent to force somebody to be something they are not. I think that is just bad parenting."
11. Cindy Barshop makes her home an open environment.

Cindy Barshop spoke to People about her son, Jesse, coming out as transgender, saying, “When a child feels comfortable and open, identity issues are able to be discussed in the family environment," she said, continuing, "I believe in creating an open and positive home so they are able to express themselves."
